Eukaryotic cells possess a nucleus

Electron microscopy revealed numerous intracellular compartments

• Usually one per cell
• Contains most of the cell's genetic makeup
• Occupies 5-10% of the cell volume

<aside> 📌 Summary: Proteins that get secreted out of the cell enter at the level of the endoplasmic reticulum, travel on through the Golgi apparatus and then get secreted.
